Gardens are not stand-alone features, particularly when in the rolling landscape of west Dorset. Be they in a village or looking out to sea, settling them comfortably and naturally into their surroundings so they become a part of it, creates tranquility and a lovely engagement with the natural world.

Our Town Gardens

Limited space can be challenging, but creating interest that prevents the eye going straight to the edges of the garden will make it look and feel larger. Add some height with suitable trees, or maybe a pergola, and soon the surrounding buildings begin to blur and recede.
